Synopsis

Ek Aur Dronacharya penned by Shankar Shesh is a thought provoking classic and hard hitting play. It depicts the conflict of a teacher who is the modern inheritor of Dronacharya's legacy.

Dronacharya was a master in the art of archery and scriptures, pressured by his wife's sense of insecurity, generated by hunger and poverty. He had to accept service as a teacher of the Kaurava princes. In one course of time, this subordination became a way of life.

In the play, Arvind is a college professor. He wants to restore honesty, discipline and a sense of character building in academic life, which has been taken over by corruption and finally he becomes the victim of power and politics.

In the play, two stories running parallel are interwoven together.
